The Frozen Frontier: Random Alaskan Adventures!

For those of you who didn’t know, one of my previous military assignments was Fairbanks, Alaska. While Fairbanks was totally different from what I was used to in Los Angeles, I saw this as an opportunity to try different things. Heck, I even tried living in a cabin!

I was supposed to be there for three years but spent more than half of it deployed/studying somewhere else (Iraq, Kyrgysztan, California). While I wasn’t there for the whole three years, I still tried to explore the place as much as I could. Living in Alaska opened up a lot of travel possibilities.

Some highlights: I bought my first four-wheeler and camped the mountains with friends. Went white water rafting in freezing rapids. Snowboarded some of the best slopes out there. Experienced the northern lights.

Here are the lost pictures of my Alaskan Adventures!
