Spent the weekend with my ladies and headed to Pundaquit Beach in Zambales to go surfing.
Pundaquit Beach had nice waves but the bottom of the ocean is very rocky. We got ourselves quite a number of bruises and scratches so we might head over to La Union next time. After surfing, we were too tired to walk along the beach back to our hotel so we hailed a tricycle. It was a very expensive 5-minute ride at Php 20.00/head. OA! Our choice of accommodation was Pundaquit Sun and Surf, where we met Kevin who built beautiful houses back in Rhode Island.
Pundaquit Sun and Surf was very rustic. They gave us a discounted price for the Deluxe AC Room, from Php3,000 we got it for Php2,000. It comes with a pivate bathroom and one queen-sized bed, which only fits two people so we had to request for an additional mattress for Php100.00. It was too pricey for what we got, to be honest. There are a number of beachfront resorts along Pundaquit so choose wisely. We recommend Megan’s Beach Resort.
Food is very cheap at about Php150.00 per meal, but they take a very long time to prepare. We had to wait an average of 45 minutes before they start to bring out the grub, and some dishes were not even hot anymore. We had lunch at Pundaquit Cafe, and we do recommend having pizza at Pundaquit Paradise Hotel.
Now, off to our next adventure.
